Close the right nostril with the thumb of your right hand, now breathe slowly through the left nostril until the lungs are filled with oxygen. This action is known as complement. Now close the left nostril with the ring finger and middle finger and exhale slowly by opening the right nostril. This action is called a laxative. Keep exhaling until the air is completely removed from the lungs. Inhaling through the left nostril and exhaling through the right nostril was the first cycle of this action, now inhale through the right nostril and exhale through the left nostril. This is the second cycle.

Time period:

In the beginning, according to your ability, practice it daily for at least 3 minutes. Do this gradually for 15-20 minutes daily. If possible, do it twice a day in the morning and evening. Keep these things in mind:

  • Do it sitting in an easy posture like Padmasana, Siddhasana or Vajrasana.
